If I drive to the Convention Center, where will I park?
There are many parking lots and structures within a short walk of the convention center. You can often get a discounted rate if you purchase your tickets in advance online. Just search for “parking near the Sacramento Safe CU Convention Center” and several sites will guide you through the process. You can also use short term street parking in the downtown area. Many of the parking meters work with phone apps like ParkMobile.
What hotels are within walking distance from the Convention Center?
The Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel and the Hyatt Regency Sacramento are the two hotels that are just across the street from the west door of the Convention Center. There are also a number of hotels and vacation rentals within 0.5 miles from the Convention Center.
What will be the best way for me to get to the Banquet at the California State Railroad Museum?
There is a large parking structure for Old Sacramento across the street from the Railroad Museum. If there is an event at the Golden 1 Center (Home of the Sacramento Kings Basketball Team) that same night, parking may be in short supply, so if this is the case, we recommend carpooling if possible. There are also ample rideshare options (Uber/Lyft) available in downtown Sacramento. It is about a one mile walk, for those who are up to it! At the time of this writing, the Golden 1 Center’s calendar only shows through April.
Why are you not offering a Convention Hotel and Tour Buses?
Our small club cannot afford the risk involved in committing to a minimum number of rooms and buses. Post-COVID hotel contracts do not allow for refunds due to extraordinary situations outside the control of the organizers.
Are you offering refunds if we are no longer able to attend the Convention?
The price paid for registration, Ice Cream Sundae Social and Banquet will be allowed up to April 18, 2025. No refunds will be granted after this date. The price of merchandise purchased on the webpage to be picked up at the convention will be refunded minus the transaction fee. The price of merchandise that has already been shipped will not be refunded.
Where can I eat in the vicinity of the Convention Center?
Your registration package will include discount vouchers for restaurants in the area. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area.
Why are you opening up the vendor hall to all scales of the hobby?
Many vendors told us that they would be more likely to participate in NGRC25 if they had a bigger audience. In order to please more vendors, we are inviting merchants of all scales and are opening up the vendor hall to the public on Saturday and Sunday.
Since there is no Convention hotel, where will the clinic rooms be located?
The clinic rooms will be located at the Convention Center near the vendor hall.
